MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Mayor Mayo and the Monroe City Council announced today that ground-breaking ceremonies will be held tomorrow, Thursday, December 6th at 11am, for the planned 8 million dollar Tower-Armand expansion project.

The ground breaking ceremonies will be held near the intersection of Ferrand and Armand Street at the old Parker Auto Body shop site.

This is the Monroe Capital Infrastructure project for the five lane expansion of the Tower Drive connector from the intersection of Lamy Lane/Armand, eastward to Ferrand Street, thus connecting to U.S. 165.

Site and equipment preparations are currently underway, with actual construction expected to begin in early January 2013 and be completed in Spring 2014.
