OAK GROVE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - A federal marshals task force converged on Oak Grove today and took a fugitive from Florida into custody.
US Marshals along with West Carroll Sheriff's Department deputies and Oak Grove Police officers arrested 24 year old Anthony Batta from Spinghill, Florida.
Batta was wanted in both Pasco County and Hillsborough County.
Batta had eluded officers during a high speed pursuit and had tried to run one of the officers down with his vehicle, other charges include grand theft auto and Aggravated flight from an officer.
Batta was arrested without incident at a residence inside the city limits of Oak Grove.
