MONROE, La. (KONE 8 News) - It was an emotional scene here Tuesday tonight at the Monroe City School Board meeting.
Board member Vickie Krutzer's attorney was escorted out by the police.
The discussion over a voicemail recorded by Vickie Krutzer's phone, unknowingly, was in a public meeting Tuesday tonight.
Board President Verbon Muhammad read the complaint out loud with quotes from the voicemail.
That's when the audience members got involved.
They began chiming in, saying they would hold Krutzer accountable.
While many were outraged by the recording, Krutzer is getting some support from her district's people.
Board member Rodney McFarland and board president Muhammad say they don't appreciate being named in the voicemail and believe action needs to be taken against Krutzer.
McFarland says, "again we receive no apology from miss Krutzer another year done rolled around we had an indecent last year now we had another indecent this year there are other issues out there and we need to put a stop to this madness."
Krutzer says,"as representative of district two I am going to maintain my position and serve and represent my district but also the entire school all of the students in Monroe City School."
The heated moments latest clear up to the end.
The meeting quickly adjourned, without talking about a timeline or action for resolution of the issue.
We'll continue to follow this story closely, and bring you the latest, as it develops.
