MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - The Southside Community Involvement Association's (SCIA) December Meeting is Thursday 12/6/2012 at 6:00 PM at the Emily P. Robinson Center, 3504 Jackson Street, Monroe.
The SCIA will be culminating a very successful year with our Annual Christmas Party. We will
be giving thanks for our friends, volunteers and partners: Habitat for Humanity; Rays of Sonshine;
Mt. Nebo Baptist Church; The Southside Men's Club; The Union Pacific Railroad; The Louisiana
Purchase Gardens & Zoo; The Louisiana Foundation; The City of Monroe (Police, Code Enforcement;
Sanitation & Beautification Departments) and Barkdull Faulk Elementary School.
We ask that everyone kindly bring Gifts of Canned Goods for our Annual Christmas Donation to the
Granny Goines Community Kitchen on Plum Street. Our contributions will provide many families
with Delicious Christmas Dinners!
Our evening's festivities will include a guest, activities, and much Holiday Cheer! Come and join us
in celebrating the end of a fabulous 2012 and the beginning of an even greater 2013!
