RUSTON, La. (KNOE 8 News) - New zoning codes for the city of Ruston are aimed to increase connectivity with surrounding areas, preserving existing suburban neighborhoods, and encourage business development.
A Michigan based planning consulting and coding firm assisted Ruston in the new codes. The codes haven't been updated since 1959.
Previsions were included to assist with revitalization of the historic downtown. Planning administrator Pat Doane says the new code really has the city's future in mind.
