MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - A reminder from the Secretary of State's office: Saturday, December 1st is the last day to cast early votes for the upcoming runoff election.
Early voting is available in 46 of 64 parishes from 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Citizens who want to vote early may do so in person at their parish Registrar of Voters' Office or at other designated locations.
Turnout for early voting has been extremely light compared to the Presidential Election last month according to Secretary Schedler. "We anticipate high turnouts in some areas of the state that have important runoff elections, but overall the December 8th election has not driven voters to get out early."
Voters can also utilize the Secretary of State's smartphone application, GeauxVote Mobile, to find out where to vote, what's on your ballot and your voting districts.
