Remains believed to be human found in LaSalle Parish

LASALLE PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Pieces of what appear to be a human skeleton have been found in the woods in LaSalle Parish.
The remains were discovered by a hunter the morning of Wednesday, November 21st. The area of the parish where the bones were found has not yet been disclosed.
The bones have been sent to the LSU Faces Laboratory for further analysis.
Sheriff Scott Franklin says investigators are hopeful the remains will match a missing person on file in the Central Louisiana area within the last five years.
