Union Parish woman accused of domestic abuse battery and child endangerment

FARMERVILLE, La. (KNOE 8 News & Union Parish Sheriffs Dept.) - A Union Parish woman is accused of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.
Bridgette Lynette Gean, 41, of Denton Road in Farmerville, was booked Saturday in the Union Parish Detention Center. She was released on a $1,500 bond.
Deputies had received a call that a domestic disturbance was going on, but when deputies arrived Gean told them that they were not needed. Further investigation revealed Gean had been hitting her husband who was trying to get their two children and leave. He told deputies that his wife had an alcohol problem and deputies reported a strong odor of alcohol while talking with Gean.
