MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - One of the oil platform workers in the Gulf of Mexico is dead after fighting for his life in a Baton Rouge hospital. 49-year-old Avelino Tajonera died shortly after his wife and three kids arrived in Louisiana from the Philippines, according to an ambassador. Three other men remain in the hospital. The November 16th explosion and fire killed a 42-year-old and the search was called off this week for a 28-year-old worker.
