Ruston High fields a championship team

SULPHER, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Ruston High pulled off a major victory this past weekend.

Ruston High has only had a swim team for four years, but the team was able to take top honors at State Championships.

The RHS boys swim team won the Division II State Championships in Sulphur.

The championship team roster consists of Nick Ruff, Jake Kyte, Robert Kyte, Austin Meng.  Rear,  Tatman Bernard, AJ Brown,  Morgan Meyer, Joseph Ham, Ben Sawyer.  Senior Jake Kyte was also named to the LHSAA All Academic Composite Swim Team.

The team is coached by RHS coaches Paulette Crawford and Lomax Napper. Also shown in the championship photograph is Keith Alexander of the LHSAA.
