Federal indictment dropped in LSU bomb threat

MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - A federal indictment has been dropped against the man accused of making a false bomb threat at Louisiana State University.

The threat back in September caused a 12 hour evacuation of the campus.   Even though federal charges are dropped, William Bouvay Jr. still faces a state charge of "communications of false information of a planned bombing on school property."

The state plans to charge the 42-year-old as a habitual offender.   He faces at least 13 years in prison.
