NATCHEZ, Ms., (KNOE 8 News) - According to Natchez National Historical Park Superintendent Kathleen Jenkins, the derelict houses along the bluff could soon be coming down.

The National Park Service is gearing up to develop a park at Fort Rosalie alongside the Mississippi River, indicating it should have the necessary clearance shortly.

Along with the demolition of the old houses, the park service also plans to complete the preservation of two historic buildings in the area.
