Mississippi murder trial delayed after scheduling conflict

NATCHEZ, Ms., (KNOE 8 News) - A murder trial scheduled for this week in Natchez has been postponed.
The murder trial of Davarious Clemons was postponed because when another trial was delayed into today.
Adams County District Attorney Ronnie Harper pointed out that it's not uncommon for multiple cases to be scheduled on the same day. If one case moves forward then the others have to be "pushed".
In Clemons' case, the trial was delayed because a civil trial before Judge Forrest Johnson started first.
Harper said the case has not yet been rescheduled.
Clemons is accused of fatally shooting 30-year-old Cedric Morgan during attempted robbery.
