Delta Community College plans a commemorative service for vets

MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Louisiana Delta Community College will celebrate Veterans Day with a "Veterans Day Commemorative Service" on Monday, November 12th, at 11:00 a.m., in the Commons Area of the Louisiana Purchase Building.
The public is invited to attend the event which will feature music, a presentation of The Colors, and two guest speakers: LA Delta student - Retired Army Staff Sergeant Ellis Myers who is also a LA Delta student, and LA Delta Dean of the School of Business Joseph Lane, a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and Vietnam Veteran.
DCC asks that attendees wear their favorite patriotic colors and join the effort to pay respect to our distinguished Veterans and the men and women currently serving in the military.
Refreshments will be served immediately following the program.
