Lincoln Parish hay barn fire

LINCOLN PARISH, LA. (KNOE 8 News) - At around 5:23 p.m. Sunday, November 4th, the Lincoln Parish Fire Department responded to a hay barn fire on St. Peter Road in southeast Lincoln Parish.

The first firefighters on the scene discovered an open air barn fully involved in the fire.

The barn was filled completely with an estimated 200 round hay bales.

The fire spread to a nearby storage building holding firewood and was threatening a workshop and nearby home.

The barn and the bales were completely destroyed while the storage building suffered significant fire damage.

The workshop only suffered minor damage and no damage was done to the home.

Firefighters remained on the scene throughout the night to put out spot fires and were still on-scene at 9:30 a.m. Monday morning.
