WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce board of directors is supporting two issues on the ballot. When it comes to term limits for school board members in Louisiana, to only 3 consecutive terms for a total number of 12 years, the group gives the idea a thumbs up.
Also, they're nodding their heads in agreement to the Louisiana Constitutional Amendment Number 8. That's calling for local lawmakers to have the option of extending a 10-year property tax exemption to highly competitive projects.
