MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - Two Republican lawmakers are seeking answers after they were kicked out of the House budget committee.

Jefferson Parish Representative Cameron Henry and Assumption Parish Representative Joe Harrison say they were ousted from the Appropriations Committee because of a string of clashing's with the Jindal Administration.

They received word of their removal Friday from State House Speaker Chuck Kleckley.

Henry and Harrison are two critics of the governor's spending plan and recent budget cuts.

Both men were also involved in calling a special session to discuss the recent cuts, but that motion failed.

Henry also served as the vice-chairman of the group.
