Trade your extra Halloween candy for toys

Posted: Updated:

MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Wondering what to do with all the Halloween candy you recieved trick-or-reating?

Parents can trade the glut of Halloween candy and get a nice toy in return. At the same time, you'll be giving our troops something to smile about.

November 1st, 2nd and 3rd, just bring Halloween candy to any Kool Smiles dental office location. You don't have to be a current patient to participate!

You can find the nearest office to you at http://www.mykoolsmiles.com/trooptreats.

For every 25 pieces of candy you donate, Kool Smiles will give you a free toy! And most importantly, the donated candy will be sent in care packages via Operation Gratitude to our brave men and women serving overseas to remind them of home sweet home. Left over toys will be donated to children of U.S. service members in units that are about to deploy, as part of the Battalion Buddy program.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please keep candy unopened and in its original intended packaging (individual sticks of gum, for example, will not be accepted). There is a limit of three toys per child and toys will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
