Domestic violence month wraps up

MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Wednesday, October 31st marks the end of Domestic Violence Awareness month.

To celebrate the month-long effort to curb domestic violence, there will be a victims' rally on Wednesday, October 31st at 10am on the courthouse steps facing St. Frances, at 300 St. John Street in Monroe.

Speakers will be Mr. Jerry L. Jones, 4^th Judicial District Attorney, and a local victim. There will also be a release of 6 dozen balloons in remembrance of the numerous victims of domestic violence throughout the world. Please wear purple to show your support.
