Former Monroe mayoral candidate sentenced

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A former Monroe mayoral candidate is sentenced to 90 days in jail for non-support. An affidavit shows Johnny Riley,46, was handed his sentence Friday and booked shortly after at the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center. Before running against Mayor Jamie Mayo, Riley worked for the city in the community affairs division. However, he does have a $3,500 bond.
