WALKER, La., (KNOE 8 News) - This week, 9-1-1 dispatchers with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office received a call about a disturbance at 30259 Milton Road in Walker, Louisiana. Deputies responded to this call along with Walker police officers.
Upon arriving on the scene, deputies said that a sharp instrument had been used to sever the belly of a woman who was approximately seven-and-a-half months pregnant. The baby was then forcibly removed from her womb. That baby did not survive.
The 28-year old pregnant victim is currently listed as stable at a hospital.
The victim's husband, 31-year old Jeffery Reynolds of 30259 Milton Road in Walker, has been arrested and charged with 1st Degree Feticide and Attempted 2nd Degree Murder
He is currently in the Livingston Parish Detention Center. Bond is set at $500,000.00.
The Louisiana State Police Crime Lab is processing evidence collected at the scene.
The motive is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
