WEST CARROLL, LA. (KNOE 8 News) - The two inmates that escaped from the West Carroll Detention Center early last Saturday morning have been captured.
West Carroll Parish Sheriff Jerry Philley told KNOE 8 News 27-year-old Steven McCarthy and 31-year-old Henry Curtis along with accomplice Danika Darley were arrested in Jacksonville, Florida late Tuesday night.
They had escaped through an already broken lock on a door over the weekend.
Both men are from the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area and were serving a 12-year sentence in West Carroll.
McCarthy was booked on burglary and simple escape convictions. The sheriff said he also escaped from two other facilities.
Curtis was booked after 2 convictions on burglary and theft.
