RUSTON, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Saturday, October 27th, The Ruston Fire Department will host its 6th Annual Hot Halloween Happening and festivities from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Ruston Fire Station Headquarters located @ 920 E. Georgia Avenue. Free Hot Dog Lunch will be provided. Have fun playing games with a fire safety theme, and come in your costume to have the most fun! Ruston High, Ruston Jr. High, and Cedar Creek FBLA students, along with the La Tech "BAP" (Bata Alpha Psi) make all the fun come to life working each station. Louisiana State Police will be on hand with their vehicle roll-over prop demonstrating the effect of not wearing your seatbelt.
To kick off the day, Ruston Fire Department is Hosting the La Tech "SNA" Student Nursing Association's 1st Annual Halloween Hustle 5K & Kids 1 mile Fun Run to benefit the Pine Hills Advocacy Center. Registration at 7:30am, race time 8am! Kids 1 mile fun run will start after the 5k is completed. Race fee of $15. All other activities of the day are FREE. Appropriate costumes are encouraged for all of the day's events! Parking is located to the east of the fire station on Georgia Ave.
