EL DORADO, Ar. (KNOE 8 News) - An El Dorado man was found stabbed to death in his living room Friday morning.
Police responded to a call on an unresponsive man on the 900 block of West Faulkner in El Dorado, early Friday morning. Officers discovered that Benjamin Taylor, 48, had been stabbed to death in his home and his son Brandon Berry, 23, found his body.
"My father had placed the TV so loud that nobody could hear anything, I certainly couldn't. I just woke up and found him that way," says Berry.
El Dorado Police arrived on the scene to find Taylor's body covered in blood.
"Mr. Taylor's 2005 Toyota Tacoma, silver in color, was missing from the residence," says Captain Kevin Holt.
Taylor was a truck driver and traveling for weeks without coming home, was routine. His family believes the suspect knew Taylor's schedule.
"Everybody at work liked Ben. They liked his mannerisms and he was cordial and of course he did his job. And he was always nice and if you'd rode with him, he'd bought you dinner," says Chris Beck, Taylor's co-worker.
Taylor's family says this comes as a complete shock because he had no enemies. His son says Taylor will be missed by all that knew him.
