MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Ouachita Sheriff's investigators have arrested two men accused in a home invasion double-murder which occurred here in Monroe this past Spring.
Both subjects have been charged with two counts of second degree murder for the June 8, 2012 homicides of Dexter Burkhalter and Russell Atkins at 4541 Winnsboro Road in Monroe.
Two search warrants were executed in a collaborative effort by the Ouachita Sheriff's Office, Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, and the Shreveport Police Department at two separate residences on Melsore Street in Shreveport.
Whitelock and Collins were transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center where they are each being held on a $2 million dollar bond.
