MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The 8th annual Signature Chefs Auction, one of March of Dimes biggest fundraisers took place Tuesday night. North East Louisiana chefs provided signature dishes and area businesses donated auction packages. All proceeds benefit the north east Louisiana's March of Dimes organization.
State Senator Mike Walsworth was the event's honorary guest."It's a fun type atmosphere, we auction off different items, we had 60 different packages, I think we are going to break all records on raising funds tonight, it goes towards such a great cause and that is for the babies." said Walsworth.
March of Dimes aimed to raise more than 70 thousand dollars at the event.
