DUBACH, La., (KNOE 8 News) - The Lincoln Parish Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Dubach Apartments in Dubach, Louisiana, late the afternoon of Monday, October 15.
The first unit on the scene spotted smoke and fire in a second story apartment in one of the buildings in the complex. The apartments are in a two-story building consisting of eight (8) individual apartments. LPFD personnel were able to confine the fire damage to the one apartment. The fire appeared to have started from a pan of grease left on the stove and spread up the wall and into the cabinets above the stove. The remainder of the apartment sustained smoke damage.
Two occupants of the residence were taken to the Emergency Room of Northern Louisiana Medical Center for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The Lincoln Parish Fire Department had 7 fire units on the scene along with 12 personnel. The Ruston Fire Department also responded a medical unit and an aerial unit at the request of LPFD.
