Gas continues upward "creep"

Posted: Updated:

MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Average retail gasoline prices in Louisiana have risen 0.8¢ per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.57 a gallon now.

The national average, on the other hand, has fallen 2.8 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.77 a gallon. The improving situation in California is probably why the average fell slightly on the national scene.

Including the change in gas prices in Louisiana during the past week, prices are now 25.8 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 10.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 9.0 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 29.6 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
