FARMERVILLE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A Union Parish man is dead after a fatal crash.
Louisiana State Police said it happened Saturday night at 8:30 on Alabama Landing Road, that's east of state highway 143.
Police said 50-year-old Ronnie Baker's truck traveled off the roadway, hit a couple trees, rolled over,and then caught fire.
Investigators said Baker, from Marion, was thrown from his vehicle and he was not wearing a seat belt. It's unknown why the driver ran off the pavement or if alcohol was a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
Troop F police has investigated 22 fatal crashes which have resulted in 24 deaths so far this year.
