MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Five people are out of a job at the West Carroll Detention Center. Sheriff Jerry Philley confirms the investigation by the state is still ongoing and more pink slips may be on the way. This all stems from a shakedown, back on October 4, at the detention center. One worker told us marijuana and cell phone use by prisoners was a problem. Nearly 70 of those inmates are being held at another jail in the state.
