MONROE, LA. (KNOE 8 News) - Former River Oaks School teacher, David Reyna, has pleaded not guilty to making bomb threats at a formal arraignment held Monday morning.

Reyna's attorney, Ronnie Cook, informed Judge Stephens Winters that his client wished to waive the arraignment and appear at a trial before a jury.

By waiving the arraignment, Reyna entered a not guilty plea.

Reyna was arrested Sept. 28 on one count of communicating false information of a planned bombing on school property.

Reyna is charged with allegedly making bomb threats against River Oaks, St. Frederick and Ouachita Christian schools on Sept. 24.

His trial is set for Dec. 3.
