UNION PARISH, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Union Parish sheriff's investigators are asking for any information anyone has on a daytime burglary in which jewelry, guns and electronics were stolen.
Investigators said the burglary occurred Tuesday when unknown suspects forced entry into a house on La. Hwy. 15 near Patton's Auto.
Crime Stoppers of Union Parish will pay up to a $1,000 for information leading to a felony arrest or grand jury indictment. Crime Stoppers can be reached by calling 318-368-9679 or 1-800-828-3979.
Investigators said Tuesday's burglary was similar to another day time burglary that occurred in mid-September were jewelry, guns and electronic equipment were stolen. Deputies reported in both burglaries that long guns (rifles and shotguns) were taken.
Crime Stoppers is also still offering that reward for information about stolen residential mail boxes that were taken during the past week and a half. The mailboxes were on DeLoutre Switch Road near Farmerville and Mcleod Road in the Point/Wilhite community.
