MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - River Oaks school under lockdown. Police are on the scene. The school is currently being closed and students are being sent home for the day.
MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - River Oaks School was put under a bomb threat Monday morning; St. Fred & OCS put on alert.
MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Investigators have made an arrest in the bomb threats to three area schools on Monday of this past week. That call resulted in the evacuation of the three schools while each school was searched for explosives.
Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office Investigators have arrested 30-year-old David Reyna, an employee at River Oaks school, for communicating of false information of a planned bombing on school property.
River Oaks School Headmaster Tom Middleton has confirmed to KNOE reporter Nick Lawton that Reyna is an employee at River Oaks school, one of the three schools threatened Monday.
The school's web site lists Reyna as a Spanish teacher, who is a ULM graduate and has been employed at the school for only a few weeks. The site also says Reyna is married, with one child.
