MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Dozens of volunteers are combing through two parishes looking for a missing Rayville man. Joshua Berry left his home the morning of September 13 and never came back.

A farmer found his truck wrecked the next day and no one, including his mother, has heard from him since.

"This is out of character for him, he is one that is going to stay in touch." said Berry's mother Lonnie Berry.

The missing 35 year old has two young daughters and his wife Jessica is pregnant with their third child.

"Everyday I wake up and say I want to hear something today, I want to know something today and we haven't yet." said Jessica Berry.

Joshua Berry's phone records show his phone hasn't been used since he disappeared, raising suspicion for police. "With the time that he's been gone and the lack of contact with his family, it's got us concerned." said Richland Parish Sheriff Lee Harrell. "We can't sit home here and wait, we've got to start somewhere and his truck was here." Now dozens are combing these fields, looking for any clues that may lead to answers.

"That's all I want to know. He's ok safe and alright." said Jessica Berry.

News of the search has brought complete strangers out to help and you'd never guess which local celebrity is lending a hand. "My neighbor told me about this going on, I thought I'd come out here and see if I could help." said Tim Guraedy also known as "mountain man" from Reality Show Duck Dynasty.

"Mountain Man" from Duck Dynasty says he's just trying to be a good samaritan and offer his skills to the family. "I'm a pretty good tracker, you know, I've tracked deer and a lot of wild life through the woods, but never a human." said Gurady.

To help with the search, police say they are considering calling in cadaver dogs and a helicopter. If you have any information about Joshua Berry call the Richland Parish Sheriff's Office: 318-728-2071.
