MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Charles Trascher, a local attorney, was reported missing after he didn't return from a fishing trip on Thursday.

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The search continues Friday evening for Charles C. Trascher, a Monroe lawyer who was reported missing shortly after six Thursday evening.

His family says Trascher never returned home from a fishing trip.

Wendy Giovingo is Trascher's law partner, "I don't know another way to say we're just all in shock, everything is very surreal and um, it's very difficult it's very difficult for all the staff."

Giovingo says, "the office is like a family, is a work family, and of course we spend a lot of time here."

The firm was heart broken to hear Tracsher was reported missing Thursday, and that's when authorities recovered his 17 foot boat in the Ouachita River near West Monroe.

Lt. Scott Mathews with Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries says, "we've been here most of this night since about 9 PM last evening and we've got 4 Wildlife and Fisheries vessels with men and 2 sonar units."

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office have also been assisting with the search and rescue operations.

Meanwhile, Giovingo describes Trascher as a loving person, "he loves his family, adores his two beautiful grand daughters, and loves to fish loves to be outdoors."

Rescue crews say they will be out searching as long as they are needed.
