MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Charles Trascher, a local attorney, was reported missing after he didn't return from a fishing trip on Thursday.

Trascher's boat was found, empty on the Ouachita River and a search is currently underway there.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division agents and Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for Trascher, who is 60 years old.

According to his family, Trascher never returned home from the  fishing trip.  Authorities recovered Trascher's 17-foot aluminum vessel in the Ouachita River near West Monroe Thursday night and searched throughout the night. The search continued today.

LDWF will have two sonar units on scene today to assist in the search.  LDWF will be the lead investigative agency for this boating incident.

A Fisheries and Wildlife spokesman said this morning that they are treating this as a boat accident and possible fatality.
