BATON ROUGE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - The suspect in the bomb threat on the LSU campus earlier this week has now been indicted by a federal grand jury.

U.S. Attorney Don Cazayoux says that 42-year-old William Bouvay is charged with one count of willfully conveying false information concerning the attempt to destroy property by means of explosives.

If convicted, the Baton Rouge resident faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $250,000.

Bouvay also faces a state charge of communicating false information of a planned bombing. He is currently being held in lieu of a $1 million bond.

Bouvay was arrested Tuesday night. According to authorities in Baton Rouge, he has admitted to calling 911 Monday and claming he had placed multiple bombs on the campus.
