WEST MOROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The residents of one West Monroe neighborhood are heated after an arrest was made on their block.
It all happened around 8:30 Wednesday night near Ludwig Avenue and South 3rd Street, after West Monroe Police made a routine traffic stop. Police say once they pulled over the vehicle, someone inside assaulted an officer. Police say that's when they were forced to tase a person.
According to officers, at least one person was sent to the hospital and three people were arrested.
A crowd of heated neighbors gathered at the scene when it was active. Most were calling the police officers manner of handling the situation, foul play. A dispatcher said, neighbors typically believe the police are working against the residents instead of for them.
No word yet on the condition of the person in the hospital or the three people taken to jail.
