BASTROP, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Outdoors enthusiast were out to take full advantage of the no sales tax holiday.
The annual sales tax holiday provides an exemption from state and local sales on individual's purchases of firearms, ammunition and hunting supplies.
Everyone we spoke with agreed in this economy sales like these really help people out.
Many people we spoke with Friday say they see big ticket items they want but they wait until this time of year to purchase them because the discounts are so good.
One shopper, Bill Rockhold says, "they usually pick out things a few months earlier and just wait for that magic weekend when there is no sales tax."
