MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The Louisiana Housing Alliance (LHA)  kicked off their 4th annual statewide listening tour in Monroe. At the meeting a dozen people expressed concerns about housing needs to the state agency.

The housing alliance uses its input to shape policies for the following year. The group wants the event to raise awareness for housing issues across the state.

"You know Northern Louisiana is often overlooked in a lot of state policies and we as a statewide organization want to make sure northern Louisiana is represented." said Nathan Cataline, LHA outreach coordinator.

"They go around the state and document the concerns of the non profits, the citizens, all of the agencies in a particular area to identify the housing issues." said Larry Head, LHA board member.
