MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The storm has left thousands in the dark at this hour.
Nearly 5200 people in north Louisiana are without power. More than 1300 of those are in Tensas Parish - along with hundreds in Caldwell Parish.
170 people in Ouachita Parish are without power.
An entergy spokesperson says bucket trucks cannot be operated in winds that are more than 30 miles per hour. KNOE 8's Chief Meteorologist Tom Pearson says many gusts are topping 40 miles per hour.
There's no estimated time on when power will be restored.
