MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Police are looking for a suspect who is believed to held up three local stores in recent days.

In the most recent robbery, an unidentified suspect walked into the Dollar General Store at 1313 Winnsboro Road, produced a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect struck the cashier with the gun and fled the scene in an unknown direction, with an undetermined amount of money . The clerk suffered minor wounds to her head and was transported to a local hospital. 

Then on the 15th, at 9:51 p.m., a man walked into Johnny's Pizza at 801 So. 2^nd Street armed with a gun. The suspect pointed the gun at the cashier and demanded money. The suspect fled in an unknown direction with cash, checks and credit card receipts.

The third robbery occurred on 8-17-12 at 9:18 p.m., when an armed man robbed the Family Stop Foods at 1403 Orange St. In that incident, the man walked into the store, produced a handgun, and demanded money from the cashier. He fled the scene in an unknown direction.
