Posted: Updated: Aug 23, 2012 06:42 PM

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - KNOE 8 News has confirmed with investigators that the Forrest County Sheriff's Office has found a body, about an hour south of Brittany Crenshaw's Mississippi home.

Crenshaw is a West Monroe native, her fiance, Benjamin Davis is from Bastrop.

Mississippi police tell us the body they found is badly burned, and they say it may be the body of missing 19 year old Brittany Crenshaw.

Deputies tell me they've given Benjamin Davis two lie detector tests, and he's failed them both.

Davis remains behind bars, charged in her homicide.

Gina Moore, Brittany's mother tell us, "I feel like I'm on the back end of a train, trying to find my way forward she's just that one step in front of me."

The Forrest County Sheriff's Office has confirmed for us Benjamin Davis, Brittany's fiance, is behind bars and being held on a homicide charge.

These charges didn't come as a surprise to Brittany's family.

Brittany's mother says, "when we went to look for her this past week, and his reaction to us was he was so devastated that my daughter was missing, he was concerned about her where about's but at the same time I've never seen a person scared for someone's life that never shedded a tear."

Benjamin Davis is still holding to his innocence, as he has from day one.

In an exclusive interview with us Tuesday before his arrest, Davis told us he doesn't know where she's at.

Davis said, "I'm just I mean I'm just lost I'm lost without her, I don't know where she is at I just want her to come home."

Davis also says told us he would do anything for Brittany to return home safely, "but she knows that already she means the world to me nothing and nobody could ever compare to the way she does me and her are were meant to be."

Brittany's sister Kaci is still in Mississippi searching for her.

Meanwhile no word yet on Davis' bail hearing or if any more charges will be filed.

Brittany family is planning a candle light vigil for her this Saturday evening at, area one beginning at 8:00.
