Witnesses say man jumped off Endom bridge early Tuesday morning

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - West Monroe police say two witnesses called in reports of a man jumping off of the Endom bridge early Tuesday morning.

West Monroe public information officer Cpl. Jade Gabb tells KNOE 8 News the possible jumper is reported to be a white male wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. Police first received the call around 4:24 a.m., found nothing, and cleared the scene around 5:15 a.m.

Police say they are now treating the situation as an attempted suicide/missing person case. No further searches in the river are planned for the moment.
