RUSTON, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The Ruston Gun and Knife Show is underway this weekend and a local celebrity stopped by for a meet and greet.
Gun enthusiasts traveled to Ruston this weekend to buy, sell, and trade fire arms and other collectibles. Some fans were star-struck when Duck Dynasty's very own Mountain Man stopped by the event.
Fans got the chance to have books signed by the cast member who was invited by the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
"They asked me to come out here and sign autographs and take pictures, look at some of these guns, just having a big time," says Mountain Man.
Since he's been on the hit hunting-oriented television show, Mountain Man says it's hard to get used to being a celebrity.
"I'm still trying to figure that one out I guess. I turn the TV on one day and there I was and here I am today. God's been good I reckon," he says.
He certainly hasn't let the stardom get to his head, though. He maybe an ArkLaMiss celebrity, but Mountain Man says he won't quit his day job repairing air conditioners.
This was the third Gun and Knife Show in Ruston in the last year and is by far the most successful. Doors will open back up Sunday, August 19, from 10am-5pm.
