UPDATE on Shady Grove church fire

Holly Ridge, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The fatality in the fire at the Shady Grove Church of God parsonage has now been confirmed.

A single person died when fire engulfed the church parsonage early this morning.

The church is on Highway 577, north of Holly Ridge.

The State Fire Marshal is reportedly on the scene at this hour and the investigation into the cause of the fatal blaze is ongoing.
