NATCHITOCHES, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Cane River Lake has been closed to boating traffic until further notice.
In making the announcement, the Cane River Waterway Commission said the only vessels allowed on the lake during lake closings are non-powered boats and boats with electric trolling motors.
According to the commission the decision was made due to low water levels in the Natchitoches Parish waterway.
