RICHLAND PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Richland Parish was affected by Thursday night's storms, they even had one major roadway blocked with high water.
Area Engineer of Richland Parish David Hodnett says crews started working around 12 Friday morning to get limbs cleared from the road and get power restored.
The area hardest hit was on Highway 135, there were 8 to 10 trees covering the roadway making it impossible for drivers to get through.
Hodnett says they cleared the roadways early this morning, and crews went back to work to remove all the debris that was left behind.
He says they even had to put out high water signs Friday morning, "the intensity of the rain filled up and just got overflowed on the road but it ran off by pretty quick this morning, and it looked like all the ditches were emptied out."
Hodnett says there hasn't been any reports of structural damage in Richland Parish.
