LAKE PROVIDENCE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - The Lake Providence Water System is experiencing problems with its water supply system.
Because of these problems, the water there has been deemed to be of questionable microbiological quality and a boil notice has been posted.
This boil notice is now in effect and will remain so until further notice.
Water should be brought to a rolling boil, and kept there for at least one full minute in a clean container, prior to being used for any human consumption. This includes water used in food preparation, brushing teeth, rinsing foods, etc.
Residents will be advised when the boil notice is lifted.
