Arkansas hospital gets new life

HOPE, Ar., (KNOE 8 News) - Medical Park Hospital in Hope, Arkansas, which has been struggling financially this week officially becomes Wadley Regional Medical Center.

Medical Park Hospital, in bankruptcy court was purchased by Wadley's parent company after the sale was approved by the bankruptcy court.

Tom Gilbert will assume CEO duties for the Hope facility. Gilbert says the hospital staff looks forward to providing quality health care services to the community

The hospital had reached the point that it couldn't pay its vendors or its employees. Wadley made a loan of nearly $1.3 million to keep the facility open.
